The 175th anniversary of a global business – What a party!
Organise an anniversary event on this scale and on our own doorstep? The N-EC event agency was delighted to accept the challenge.
Bertelsmann invited all its employees to experience a unique celebration together at its headquarters in Gütersloh. Some 12,000 people spent a varied and unforgettable day at Schloss Rheda castle in OWL.
The anniversary celebrations featured a wide range of exciting activities and entertainments on a beautiful summer’s day
From Gutenberg’s printing press to printing your own portrait on the cover of Brigitte magazine or a karaoke performance in front of the German Idol TV talent show jury – staff were invited to experience every one of the Group’s divisions. The main stage offered a rich entertainment programme throughout the afternoon and evening – including particularly popular entertainers from within the company – all of it charmingly hosted by TV presenter Nazan Eckes.
The highlight of the staff party was the concert by Sasha, to rousing cheers from the masses. When darkness fell and the giant illuminated marionette Dundu made her way through the masses to the middle of the activities lawn to press the button that lit up the illuminations in the castle park, the audience went wild. In partnership with Bertelsmann, Nordmann Event Consulting had designed an anniversary party that will live on for a long time in the memories of all the company’s staff and guests.
